
History

1977 Mr Guy Martinot, the current President founded Medisoft S.A. and formed the manufacturing facility in Dinant in the Ardennes region of Belgium.
The first product development was a flow interrupter, at the same time development of the software to provide testing in the local language for the Gould and Morgan systems already in widespread use as manual devices. The development of the advanced software focused the name of the company. Medisoft was one of the first companies to add multi colour to the software for ease of reading different test data.
1981 Medisoft SA launched its own instrumentation with the first device to continue the study of the “Exploration Functionelles Respiratory” This PFT system the Partin’Air was soon the instrument of choice in Belgium and Northern France.
1984 Medisoft was the first company in the region presenting its devices in complete integration with the personal Computer (PC), this total integration not only collected data from the devices, it additionally drove the test sequences.
1987 The company added the Body Plethysmograph (Body 5500) to the range of products opening new markets and increasing the client base.
1996 The complete software moved to working directly in Windows 95™, This was a further first for Medisoft and the break from the limitations of the DOS operating system opened many new possibilities in the presentation of the collected data.
2001 Medisoft made the commitment to construct a new International Headquarters, this purpose built factory of 3500m2 moved the company out of the picturesque town of Dinant to a new brown field development site 5km from Dinant at Sorinnes over looking the woodlands and surrounding countryside. This investment of 3 million Euro provided a state of the art production, research and development and centralised office facility.

The site also contains purpose built training facilities allowing the teaching as well as the continued research into new and innovative respiratory measurements.
2002 The expansion to an office in Hong Kong to develop the Chinese and Far Eastern markets.
2004 Medisoft is retains as part of the ESA project (European Space Agency) for the development for instrumentation for the study of metabolic function and respiratory function on the international Space Station (ISS)
2005 The opening direct sales facilities in France with Sales and Service
2007 Launch of Hyp’Air FeNO a valuable addition to the main instrument line to enable all General Hospitals to have the facility to perform studies on exhaled Nitric Oxide as an early detection of Asthma and enhancing the need for additional studies in such cases to find the cause and manage the treatment.
Today Medisoft has from its head office a complete range of Pulmonary Function Instrumentation supported in the global market with over 20 exclusive Distributors and principle offices, the last five years has seen excellent growth of Medisoft with the help of more then 50 close partners the development of products suited to the market and the turnover of the business has seen a three fold increase.
2008 Medisoft continues to expand its market position with participation at all international congresses, developing business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, The increased growth in the American Markets and new opportunities in Eastern Europe.
2009 Medisoft sees increased world growth with new markets and partners
2010, incorporation of Medisoft Germany GmbH, our salesand service subsidiary to serve the German Market. This expansion shows Medisoft’s commitment to expand its activities in EUROPE.
2012, Medisoft is celebrating its 35th Anniversary thanks to a unique know-how, partners and employees with quality and trust and loyalty of its customers.
