Rosc
Description
Module for the total respiratory (Thoracic) resistance measurement by the forced oscillation technique (Dubois and Al's).
Easy to use, no cooperation needed
Especially suited for paediatric application and with non collaborating patients
Can be use as well as stand alone device as integrated in the global MediSoft network.
Thanks to the flexible tube supporting the mouth piece, measurements can be perform in any body positions (example supine position)
Principle
A sinusoidal pump generate an impulse signal who is applyed at the patient mouth.
The pulmonary resistance is derived from the pressure signal returned by the patient.
Measured parameters
- Total respiratory resistanceRosc (mbar/L/sec)
- Phase (degrees)
- Result reported on a graphic Rosc/Phase
Software performances
- On line display of Rosc and Phase angle.
- Standard data management for bronchodiliatators evaluation and bronchochallenge studies with effect / dose curve and reactivity threshold.
- Oscillation frequency sequence memorisation
- Automatic calibration
